Sunshine Medical Uniforms

Sunshine Medical Uniforms logoSiew Pang knows that the key to unlocking the American dream can be discovered by embracing unexpected opportunities. She had been a San Antonio-area entrepreneur for 13 years before purchasing Sunshine Medical Uniforms in 2007. This move paved the way for her and her husband, Walter, to achieve true business independence. “We started our first business in 1994 at Market Square selling international gifts. In 2001, we opened a second location at the San Antonio International Airport, selling Go Texan products and Mexican souvenirs. When we bought Sunshine Medical Uniforms, the new venture allowed us to acquire assets for ourselves and to work together. Walter worked at USAA for 13 years before joining me in the business.”

Siew admits that they jumped into purchasing Sunshine without knowing what exactly they were “getting into.” Keeping up with changing business laws has been a top challenge, but she is grateful for the help that has always come through for them. After 40 years in the Lone Star State, Siew and Walter are proud Texans and readily give back to the community that helped shape them. “We have two beautiful children who are now grown with their own careers. Both are University of Texas graduates.” The Pangs met Steven Bankler at a seminar more than a decade ago. After years of intending to connect, they made the switch to the Bankler team. “We are so glad we did. What I love the most about the Bankler team is that we can count on them to get things done. It gives us the time to do what we are good at,” Siew says.
