Bankler Partners’ Year in Review
Bankler Partners' Year in Review

We have so much to celebrate at Bankler Partners and much of it is due to you: our clients, friends, colleagues, and community members. It’s a great time to be filled with gratitude—and we certainly are. Let’s take a look at the many amazing things that kept us busy and thankful this past year.

A Brand New Name

After 48 years of dedicated service to the San Antonio community, Steven Bankler, CPA, Ltd., proudly became Bankler Partners, LC. This rebranding marks a new chapter for the firm while staying true to our deeply rooted local legacy. Steven first founded the boutique tax and accounting firm in 1977, supported by a great legacy of family entrepreneurship and financial stewardship. His grandfather, who once owned the iconic LaFeria department stores with locations throughout San Antonio, was a vital influence. Now Steven’s legacy includes over a dozen CPAs and staffers, with Gina Valorz as our managing partner. “It was time for a name change that reflects the growth and collaboration that our firm now thrives on,” Steven will tell you. It’s a beautiful thing!

And a New Space, Too

The name change comes with a physical expansion for Bankler Partners at the Colonnade, Suite 501, 9901 IH-10 West, San Antonio. We now inhabit a prime location at the Colonnade with sweeping views of the metro, extra meeting spaces, and room to grow. We were thrilled to host a full open house for the space in July. If you were unable to attend and haven’t yet seen the space, please plan a visit—we’d love to show you around.

Cutting-Edge Conveniences

This evolution is underscored by an updated website and the integration of cutting-edge technology, including a secure online client portal that offers 24/7 access and unparalleled convenience for clients both locally and across the globe. This innovative tool allows us to seamlessly support a diverse clientele, ensuring the same high-caliber, personalized service that has been our hallmark for nearly five decades.

Our Continued Growth

Our staff size has more than doubled in size since 2019. And guess what: We’re still growing! Meet our Team. We’re honored to be named one of San Antonio’s Best Places to Work in San Antonio Business Journal four years running. Together with our staff, we’ve created a workspace where we’re empowered to think
outside the box, connect as a team, and service our clients exceptionally well. And our company benefits are designed to support our team members’ professional growth and encourage work/life balance. We have never once believed that overstressed, overworked, underqualified and way under-appreciated accountants do the best work. You shouldn’t, either. If you’re a licensed CPA ready to elevate your career, we may be just what you’re looking for! Check out our career page.

Valued Community Connections

In addition to our open house, we have been thrilled to meet with clients, colleagues, and community members throughout the San Antonio area this year. We continued to offer advice in our monthly column for readers of Stroll Magazines in Shavano Park (Steven’s neighborhood) and Sonoma Ranch (Gina’s neighborhood) and attend Stroll’s terrific community events. San Antonio’s Construction News Magazine featured Bankler Partners in a series of columns to help building and construction business owners and managers make smart tax decisions. The XPX San Antonio 2025 Annual Summit continues to be our favorite exit planning knowledge exchange, this fall focusing on Passing the Torch: Defining Your Legacy. And we always love throwing the best business mix-and-mingle in San Antonio alongside our amazing co-hosts, Frost Bank and Rosenblatt Law Firm.

As we reflect on a year filled with growth, transformation and meaningful connections, we are deeply grateful for the trust and support of everyone who makes Bankler Partners what it is today. With exciting new changes behind us and a bright future ahead, we remain committed to delivering exceptional service, fostering community relationships, and embracing innovation. Thank you for being part of our journey—we look forward to achieving even more together in the coming year!

As always, feel free to contact us with any questions you have.
